Picking the best CS:GO trading site is quite difficult because it is heavily dependent on what you are looking for. If you’re looking for a site where you can deposit real money and buy new CS:GO skins, then you’ll have to choose marketplaces. If, on the other hand, you have some items on Steam and you want to exchange them for other items, you can use trading bots, which are completely automated and charge a very small fee.
If you want to stay safe during exchanges on Steam, there are a few rules to follow:
- Install Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator on your phone, which is an app used to confirm all exchanges from your Steam account
- Make sure that the recipient of your CS:GO skins is the right person – the most common scam at exchanges is to impersonate the administration of trading sites, for example
- Be careful to make sure you are sending the correct CS:GO skins – various floats can have very large price differences
If you follow the above rules, your trades will take place safely and you will definitely not get scammed. Unfortunately, despite the new security measures from Steam, you still have to be very careful when it comes to exchanges because hackers are constantly creating new methods and trying to scam players.
CSGO skin trading is a process that has been around for almost a decade and has seen significant growth of users over the years. It doesn’t all happen in one place as it used to before. Earlier, all players could use Steam to conduct one-on-one trades. This includes two people engaging in a trade where they exchange CSGO skins. This way, you are free to bargain with the other person, you are free to make deals that are either fair on unfair, depending on what conclusion the both of you come to. Basically, you could exchange as many skins as you want to as long as both of you agreed to the deal and there was no scam.
Today, the process is done differently thanks CSGO trading sites. There are few but significant changes. Instead of going on the Steam market, looking for skins, sending trade offers to other people, waiting for them to get back to you, and having to bargain for a great skin offer, you can now do this entire process on a larger scale and a whole lot quicker by using a trading bot platform.
A CSGO trading site makes it possible for users to eliminate the one-on-one factor and head straight to the trading bot where they can freely exchange their skins for others. This is the basic concept when it comes to trading CSGO skins on such websites. We will talk about how to go about this process and make profitable trades in addition.
How to Trade CS:GO Skins?
The trade system on many of the top CSGO skin trading sites is quite similar. It usually involves an interface where you have to insert your own skins that you are willing to put up for trading and you get to choose which ones you can receive in return. As opposed to the trading process on the Steam market, you don’t have to wait around for other users to make an offer or anything similar. All you have to do is simply insert your skins and see which ones are available for exchange on the market. You get skins that are of similar value to the ones you are making an offer with.
However, before you can begin the CSGO skin trading process on these sites, there are a couple of things that you must do in order to set up your account and trade freely. Initially, you’re going to need a valid Steam account. This doesn’t mean making a new one that you can use only for trading, as you will need the account that already has the valuable items and skins in its inventory. You shouldn’t worry about syncing your account on a safe and trusted CS:GO site, as this is a normal process that every user has to go through.
All it does is it requires you to log-in via Steam. This connects your inventory and shows all of the skins you have available to do trades with, and even buy/sell as well. Many of the best CSGO trading sites offer options to buy/sell CSGO skins as well. This is actually pretty beneficial, as you can learn how to trade in a way that benefits you, then switch to selling on the same website and sell the skins for a profit. If you have extra money, you can skip the trading and buy skins for a lower price, then sell them at the right time for a greater price on the same website.
What is The Best CS:GO Trading Site?
The best CS:GO trading site is one that processes transactions quickly, has a large selection of items and offers multiple payment methods. It is impossible to unanimously determine which site is the best, as almost every site offers different terms and conditions. Some offer more CS:GO skins, while others offer payment methods that other sites lack. We’ve looked at each site in detail and described their advantages and disadvantages. At CSGOTradingSites, we also use a simple rating from 1 to 5, which indicates how good the site is. There are many categories of trading sites and in each category we have a different favorite. We encourage you to check out our subpages where you will find the best sites in each category. We also list trading sites that have a very bad reputation or that are simply scam. Do not use these sites for sure!
Trading Restrictions on Steam
There are many reasons why you have restrictions or limitations on making trades on the Steam platform. Here are some of them:
- Logging in from a new device that is not known to Steam Guard will put a 7 day lock on your trades (does not apply to previously activated devices, they will not have restrictions)
- If you don’t have the Steam Guard activated at all, after activating it, your use of the Steam community marketplace will be unavailable for 15 days
- If you are caught cheating and receive a VAC ban, you will not be able to exchange items on your account from the game you were banned from – this restriction is not removable!
